Free testing and treatment is available from sexual health clinics.
You can also get STI tests and treatment from:
some GP surgeries
some pharmacies, where you can speak to a member of staff in private
some young people’s services (call the national sexual health helpline on 0300 123 7123 for more information)
Information and STI tests are free and available to everyone, no matter your age, gender, ethnicity or sexuality.
Home Testing Kits are not currently available in Cumbria, but free rapid tests are available in many pharmacies instead. Please see the link below for more information.

Home Testing Kits enable you to test for HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections at home. Sign up online, tests are posted to you. You take the swabs yourself and provide a small blood sample, collected from a finger prick and post back. It’s that easy!
Some samples will be tested for both HIV and syphilis, some for STIs, HIV & syphilis and others for HIV only. Check the lab card that comes with your kit! Click on the links below for online tests in your area.
