HIV Stigma Reporting Form

You can use the anonymous form below to report instances of HIV stigma and discrimination that have occurred in the North East and North Cumbria. This may have happened to you directly, or to a loved one, or it may be something you have witnessed.

This may have happened within a service you work in or are accessing, or within social or dating settings or daily life generally eg experiencing HIV stigma in a beauticians, overhearing stigmatising language in a dentist surgery or having discriminatory remarks made by someone on a dating app. It may be discriminatory wording on an employment or health form.

By completing this form, you help us build a picture of where and when HIV stigma and discrimination is happening so we can target our educational strategy. This work is crucial to local efforts to eliminate HIV stigma and improve the experiences of people living with HIV who are accessing a broad range of services. Blue Sky Trust is working with a range of local agencies as part of the North East & North Cumbria HIV Steering Group to act on the feedback you provide here.

Experiencing or witnessing HIV stigma can be really distressing. We will not be able to respond to the reports made here individually, however if you would like support please get in touch using the information below. Support is there and we would like to be of help.

This is a new reporting mechanism and we will reflect on the reports that are made and develop it to meet the need. Please share it with others that you think may want to share their experiences.

HIV Stigma experienced or witnessed within Newcastle Hospitals can be reported to them.
